According to The Telegraph, Kyle Bartley has emerged as an option for Newcastle and Crystal Palace in this summer transfer window.
The centre-back has just one year left on his contract at West Brom and after the Baggies’ relegation, he’ll reportedly be available for just £3m.
Bartley would certainly be an interesting addition for either club as he’s more than capable at this level.
Bartley has previously been labelled as a ‘natural’ leader by his former manager Carlos Carvalhal, and that’s exactly the type of thing Newcastle and Palace need, especially as they head into what his shaping up to be a difficult Premier League campaign for both sides.
At just £3m, the 30-year-old would be something of a snip and with Palace desperate for bodies through the door, it’s not hard to see why they’re after Bartley.

Patrick Vieira has already made one signing at Crystal Palace in the shape of Michael Olise, while Newcastle are yet to make their first move in this summer window.
Of course, it remains to be seen where the West Brom man ends up this summer, but with two Premier League clubs seemingly chasing his signature, it’s hard to imagine that he’ll be staying at The Hawthorns for much longer.
