The winger has struggled to make an impression at Molineux.
Nathan Byrne scores for Wolves
Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to offload 2015 signing Nathan Byrne to Wigan Athletic, reports the Daily Mail.
Byrne arrived at Molineux from Swindon Town for £1 million but Wolves will reportedly recoup only half that initially.
The 24-year-old made 24 appearances last season, scoring twice, but is yet to feature under new boss Walter Zenga.
Wolves have recruited heavily this transfer window and are expected to conclude a deal for Portugal winger Ivan Cavaleiro ahead of Wednesday’s 11pm deadline (Express & Star).

Byrne, a Tottenham Hotspur youth product, was named in League One’s team of the year for 2015 and will look to recapture his previous form at the DW Stadium – should his exit go ahead.

Wigan, promoted as third tier champions in May, have suffered a slow start to the new season, winning just one of their opening five league fixtures.
However, the Latics have boosted by the recent loan signing of West Ham United defender Reece Burke and will hope that, combined with Byrne’s addition, can transform their fortunes.
Wolves, meanwhile, have completed a deal for Fulham defender Richard Stearman, who moved in the opposite direction last summer, according to Sky Sports.
