According to Tuttomercatoweb, Napoli winger Hirving Lozano is ‘strongly desired’ by Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti – and an interesting replacement has been identified.
It’s claimed that Ancelotti wants Lozano at Everton, but no agreement has been reached just yet. The report states that it will be difficult for Napoli to recover their €40million (£36million) outlay from a year ago.
With the global pandemic ongoing, clubs have been hit financially. It’s hard to see Everton forking out that kind of money, even if Ancelotti wants the Mexican ace.
A particularly interesting note is that Napoli have already picked out Lozano’s replacement. They allegedly want Gremio star Everton Soaes if Lozano moves on.
Just days ago, Globo Esporte claimed that Everton – ironically – want to sign Everton this summer. Their report even claims that Ancelotti has personally called him about a move.
The two wingers now have their futures intwined. Napoli have allegedly put forward €25million (£22million) for Everton, but it seems that any deal depends on Lozano going.

If Everton go for Lozano, they’ll likely miss out on Everton. They risk missing out on both though, if another club come forward for Lozano and he’s replaced by Everton.
Ancelotti and co have a decision to make now, with his former club integral to Everton’s plans this summer. The budget at his disposal will be important, as Napoli seemingly want too much for Lozano after his struggles in Italy.
