Napoli have reportedly made a move for Tottenham target Giovani Lo Celso.

According to Informa Betis, Napoli have suddenly entered the battle to sign Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham have been pursuing Lo Celso for much of the summer, but have so far been unable to find an agreement with Betis over a deal.
Last week, Betis website Informa Betis reported that Lo Celso was likely to undergo a medical with Spurs following the signing of Nabil Fekir, but that hasn’t materialised.
Now, that same website claims that Tottenham may face a late disaster, as Napoli have suddenly ramped up their attempts to sign the playmaker.
It’s stated that Napoli have offered cash plus striker Arkadiusz Milik for Lo Celso, and Betis already have an agreement with the Polish attacker, meaning that may be an ideal swap bid for the La Liga side.
Additionally, boss Carlo Ancelotti has allegedly spoken to Lo Celso and enjoyed promising talks, meaning Spurs need to get moving quickly if they’re to land the Argentinian.

With talks at a standstill, and Betis pursing Milik outside of a Lo Celso move, this may be a case of a story being leaked to try and force Tottenham to increase their bid for the player.
The 23-year-old hit 16 goals last season and starred on loan at Betis before making his move permanent, and whilst he’s been expected to join Tottenham for weeks and weeks, Napoli are throwing a spanner in the works.
