Swansea City sacked manager Paul Clement on Wednesday.
According to The Mirror, Swansea City want to bring in Louis van Gaal, Ronald Koeman or Slaven Bilic as their new manager following Paul Clement’s exit.
The Swans lost 3-1 away at Everton on Monday night, despite taking the lead at Goodison Park, and that result leaves them stuck to the bottom of the Premier League table.
With just 10 goals scored in 18 games, Swansea have struggled since losing Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente, and manager Clement paid the price with his job after just 11 months in the job.
Now, The Mirror report that Swansea want to lure Louis van Gaal back into Premier League management, 18 months since leaving Manchester United.
Van Gaal, 66, won 52% of his games in charge of the Red Devils before his two-year reign came to an end in 2016, with United opting to replace him with Jose Mourinho.
Van Gaal hasn’t returned to management yet, but he may be tempted back into one last stint in the Premier League if Swansea do come calling for his services.
The report adds that Swansea are also keen on Ronald Koeman and Slaven Bilic, though it’s unclear whether either boss would be ready for a return after recently being sacked by Everton and West Ham respectively.
Both managers had strong starts with those clubs before ultimately failing this season, and after stressful starts to the campaign, they may opt for a rest rather than attempting to fight relegation.
