Newcastle United are reportedly interested in Burnley’s Andre Gray and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.

Newcastle United will sign two strikers in the Premier League in the summer transfer window if they get promoted to the Premier League, according to The Chronicle.

It has been reported that Newcastle are interested in signing Burnley striker Andre Gray and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.

“Newcastle have held the first transfer summit ahead of the summer window and there is an agreement that United should look to focus any investment on younger players,” adds the report in The Chronicle.

Good idea?

Newcastle have the best squad in the Championship, but they do need to sign players in order to make themselves competitive for the Premier League.

Over the past few years, the Magpies have signed young and talented players in order to sell them later at a higher price.

Burnley’s Gray and Bournemouth’s Wilson are good and promising strikers who would be good signings for Rafael Benitez’s side.

Gray is 25 years of age, and has scored eight goals and created 16 chances in 23 Premier League matches for the Clarets so far this season.

Wilson is also 25 years of age, and the Bournemouth striker has scored six goals and created eight chances in 20 league matches so far this campaign.
