Sunderland are still looking to appoint a replacement for David Moyes, as their managerial search continues.

According to a report in the Northern Echo, Sunderland have seven names under consideration – as their search for a new manager continues.
David Moyes left the Stadium of Light last month, but Sunderland have still not found a replacement.
Derek McInnes was once the front runner, but Aberdeen’s asking price for their manager is a problem.

Sunderland are now assessing other options, with six different names mentioned at boardroom level.
At the moment it is believed that Nigel Pearson has a strong chance of being granted the job at on Wearside.

However, Sunderland have also considered Paul Lambert, Alan Pardew, Nigel Clough, Simon Grayson and Paul Heckingbottom.
Sunderland are keen to assess all of their options thoroughly, as they realise how important making the correct appointment will be, if they are to get back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
