Everton are reportedly interested in signing Davy Klaassen from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Everton are interested in signing Davy Klaassen from Ajax in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that Everton manager Ronald Koeman has heavily scouted the attacking midfielder.

Italian club Napoli and German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt are also claimed to be interested in the 24-year-old.

Klaassen has been on the books of Ajax his entire professional career so far and has a contract with the Dutch club until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

The Netherlands international attacking midfielder has scored 10 goals and created 38 chances in 22 Eredivisie matches for Ajax so far this season.

During the 2015-16 campaign, the 24-year-old scored 13 goals and created 57 chances in 31 league matches.

Ajax are second in the Eredivisie table at the moment with 58 points from 24 matches, five points behind leaders Feyenoord.

Meanwhile, Everton currently find themselves seventh in the Premier League table with 44 points from 26 matches.

The Merseyside outfit will take on Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
