Celtic will have to compete with Leicester City, Swansea City, Stoke City, Bournemouth and Sevilla for Liverpool’s Joe Allen.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Celtic have given Brendan Rodgers permission to make a marquee signing at Parkhead.
Rodgers is yet to make an addition at Celtic, but the Northern Irishman has been quick to suggest that he has funds to spend in the press.
It is believed that the Bhoys are close to making two additions, and Rodgers would like one of them to be a big name.

Liverpool’s Joe Allen is on his wishlist, and Celtic’s board are apparently willing to back Rodgers in the hunt for the central midfielder.
However, the Bhoys face competition from a host of teams in the hunt for the Welsh international.

According to the Mail, Leicester City, Swansea City, Stoke City, Bournemouth and Sevilla are all interested in Allen, who could be made available for transfer by Liverpool this summer.
Allen has failed to secure a starting spot in Liverpool’s team, with most his appearances coming as a substitute.
Rodgers has already worked with Allen at both Swansea and Liverpool earlier in his managerial career.
