Tottenham Hotspur are seemingly keeping their options open ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to a report from website ukrinform.ua, Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs with scouts at the recent Ukrainian Cup final between Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev, with the former running out 1-0 winners.

While long-term rumour mill favourite Andrei Yarmolenko is said to have been one of the player’s watched by representatives from Spurs, Everton and Stoke City, the report claims the English sides were also running the rule over some less familiar names.

The five additional players named are Taison, Marlos, Ismaily, Jaroslav Rakitskiy and Taras Stepanenko.

Those five players cover practically every area of the field, with 27-year-olds Ismaily and Rakitskiy both playing in defence, Brazilian Marlos a right winger who can operate anywhere across the midfield of the park, Stepanenko a holding midfielder and Taison a left winger.

The issue could come from the fact that all the players are 27 or over, with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy famed for signing younger players more often than not.

That said, Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino will understand the importance of adding more experience to his exciting young squad and wide options Taison and Marlos could be the most realistic targets given Tottenham’s lack of quality on the wing.
