According to a report in the Northern Echo, Newcastle United have made Josh King and Andre Gray their top targets this summer.
Newcastle are looking to add six new first-team players in the coming months, as Rafael Benitez plans to spend to improve his squad.
The Magpies are believed to have around £100 million to invest in new transfers.
And Benitez has made Bournemouth forward King and Burnely striker Gray his two top priorities.
Newcastle are eager to improve their forward line, despite Dwight Gayle’s scoring form last season.
And Gray’s transfer to St. James’ Park is believed to be edging closer to completion.
Newcastle are eager to get a deal done at £12 million, and feel that they could snap up the 25-year-old in the near future.
Gray has netted nine goals in 32 Premier League matches this season.
