The Portuguese has not been at Old Trafford long, but is already making plans for next summer.
Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann
The Daily Mirror has claimed that Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has earmarked Antoine Griezmann as his number one target for next summer.
The Mirror reports that Mourinho is a long-term admirer of the Atletico Madrid forward, and is hoping that securing Champions League football will boost their chances of landing the Frenchman, who could command a fee that surpasses the £89m that the Red Devils spent on Paul Pogba during the recent window.

The Mirror adds that despite signing a contract that will keep him at the Vicente Calderon until 2021, the 25-year-old is aware that he could be allowed to leave if the right offer comes in from the Premier League side.
Though a lot could change throughout the campaign that forces an alteration in Mourinho’s plans, it is fair to say that Griezmann is currently one of the most exciting players in Europe.

He has scored 22 times in each of the last two La Liga campaigns, and shone in the recent European Championships, where he finished as the tournament’s top scorer and was named as the best player.
And if he can enjoy another strong season with Atletico, Mourinho is unlikely to have any doubts regarding whether he still wants the player, even if his asking price becomes even greater.
