Another day, another twist in the Tottenham Hotspur managerial search.
The Sun say that despite all roads seemingly leading to Antonio Conte, he actually isn’t Daniel Levy’s first choice to get the job at Spurs still.
Their report claims that Conte’s arrival at Tottenham may not be as certain as others have suggested.
Indeed, it is claimed that Levy is still hoping that he can get Mauricio Pochettino out of PSG.
Tottenham are believed to very keen on Pochettino, and he actually is said to remain Levy’s first choice even now.
A new twist
The problem for Spurs is that PSG want to keep the Argentine, which makes any deal difficult.
Conte, on the other hand, is a free agent – following his exit from Inter Milan.
Levy has promised that Tottenham’s next manager would resemble Spurs ‘DNA’ and Conte doesn’t feel like a totally natural fit with that.

Conte is unquestionably a very impressive manager, with a glistening CV.
But he isn’t renowned as a particularly attacking coach, nor is he credited for taking a long-term approach when in charge.
Pochettino does seem more of an option that would appeal in that sense.
And it appears that Levy’s heart is still set on Pochettino coming in, if the Sun’s report is to be believed.
