Manchester City are reportedly planning a big summer spending spree.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City are planning a £200million spending spree this summer even after clinching a second straight Premier League title.

Pep Guardiola has remarkably racked up 198 points in his last two seasons as City boss, winning two Premier League titles, but the Champions League is the next target.

Despite such a great season, City are looking for reinforcements, with Guardiola particularly keen on adding a centre back, a holding midfielder, a playmaker and possibly a striker.

The Daily Mail report that a deal for Atletico Madrid star Rodri is being pursued, with the Spaniard eyed up as the heir to Fernandinho in holding midfield.

On Guardiola’s centre back list is Ajax ace Matthijs de Ligt, but with fears that Barcelona will get in before them, City are also pursuing Manchester City’s Harry Maguire.

Another creative midfield player is wanted with concerns over Ilkay Gundogan’s future, and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar is believed to be on the radar as links to Bruno Fernandes fade.

With Gabriel Jesus enduring a disappointing season, Benfica teenager Joao Felix and even Eintracht Frankfurt goal machine Luka Jovic are being targeted to give City even more firepower.

Those six targets – Rodri, De Ligt, Maguire, Aouar, Felix and Jovic – would be huge additions for City, and leave their Premier League rivals fearful of another title win.
