West Ham United are expected to be busy during the summer transfer window.

Manuel Pellegrini manager

According to a report from Football.London, there could be a mass exodus at West Ham at the end of the season, as Manuel Pellegrini looks to fund a summer spending spree.

The Hammers brought nine new players into the club last summer, but it is clearly evident that Pellegrini needs to strengthen further still, if he is to guide his side to Europa League qualification next term.

Quite how much money the Chilean will have at his disposal, however, remains to be seen, and he will most likely have to sell in order to garner funds before making an assault on the transfer market.

And that is exactly what the West Ham boss will do, according to a report from Football.London.

The football news website claims that the five players most likely to leave the Hammers are Arthur Masuaku, Pedro Obiang, Andy Carroll, Lucas Perez and Javier Hernandez.

Out of the five players mentioned, only four of them would be sold for financial gain, with Carroll’s contract due to expire in the summer.

Javier Hernandez (R) of West Ham United chats with Pedro Obiang (C) during training at Rush Green on September 14, 2017 in Romford, England.

And there will surely not be too many West Ham fans upset at the prospect of losing the 6ft 4in Geordie.

The same could be said for Masuaku and Perez, but Hammers fans might not be so receptive to the idea of losing Obiang and Hernandez.

Needs must though, and if Pellegrini brings in upgrades on what he already has, nobody will be complaining.
