West Bromwich Albion will wait until the summer before making a permanent managerial appointment, according to The Sun.

The Premier League club are on the looking for a new manager following the departure of Alan Pardew.

The Baggies are struggling for survival in the top flight of English football at the moment and look certain to get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

According to The Sun, there are four managerial candidates for the West From job – Michael Appleton, Dean Smith, Derek McInnes and Craig Shakespeare.

The four reported managerial candidates

Appleton, who is the assistant manager at Leicester City at the moment, has managed Blackburn Rovers among other clubs in the past, and played for West Brom from 2001 until 2003.

Smith started his managerial career at Walsall and is currently doing quite a fine job at Brentford in the Championship.

McInnes could not make a great impact during his time at Bristol City from 2011 until 2013, but the former Rangers and West Brom midfielder is doing a great job at Aberdeen, who could finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season.

According to The Sun, Craig Shakespeare will be considered by West Brom if Sam Allardyce leaves Everton in the summer.

Shakespeare, who is a first-team coach at Everton at the moment, played for the Baggies from 1990 until 1993 and is a former Leicester manager.
