Well, it’s finally happened – Celtic have decided to part ways with boss Neil Lennon.
Lennon’s departure has now been confirmed after a report from The Scottish Sun late last night claimed an exit was imminent.
The report noted that Celtic’s board have been in crisis talks since Sunday’s dismal 1-0 defeat at Ross County, and they’re set to sack Lennon.
Dermot Desmond and Peter Lawwell wanted to stand by Lennon until the summer, but that latest loss means they’ve had to make the call early.
So who will take charge? Well, John Kennedy is being kept on at the club and will be put in interim charge until a permanent boss is found.
Gavin Strachan will step up to assist Kennedy, with the duo likely to take charge of Saturday’s clash with Aberdeen.

When Brendan Rodgers left in 2019, Celtic appointed Lennon as an interim boss and then handed him the job on a full-time basis.
We’ll now see whether Celtic go with Kennedy until summer or look to take a permanent appointment as soon as possible, with the season pretty much a write-off.
