According to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur duo Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett really liked working under Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham have sacked Mourinho as their first-team head coach just days before the EFL Cup final against Manchester City.
Recent results and performances of the team in the Premier League have not been great, and although Spurs are still in the running for the Champions League places, they may not be bothered as they have joined the European Super League.
The Athletic has reported that while not many players enjoyed working under Mourinho and did not like his management style, two players – 16-year-old midfielder Devine and 17-year-old forward Scarlett – both enjoyed working under him.
The report states: “Mourinho was not universally unpopular. A couple of the club’s younger players, Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett, regularly trained with Mourinho’s first team and felt encouraged by the manager’s approach.
“Mourinho stopped by at the medical when Devine joined from Wigan ahead of this season. When the midfielder clashed with Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater in an under-23 game in December, Mourinho subsequently sought Devine out to praise his character and courage to go up against a high-profile opponent.”

Positive
It is good to know that Devine and Scarlett enjoyed working under Mourinho and liked the way he dealt with them.
The two players are very young and are just starting their careers, and it seems that Mourinho knew how to deal with them and how to make them feel comfortable in the first team.
It shows how good a man-manager Mourinho is, and that is one of the biggest reasons why he has been such a success over the years.
