According to Corriere dello Sport, the agent of Nahitan Nandez is trying to negotiate a possible move to Arsenal while West Ham United consider returning for the player.
The Uruguay international has been a standout for Cagliari this season.
Nandez’s form first attracted the interests of West Ham, with Tuttomercatoweb claiming the Hammers proposed a January loan deal with a £34 million obligation to buy him.

A move to West Ham ultimately failed to materialise.
But Corriere dello Sport claim West Ham are considering returning for him this summer, yet they face heavy competition for this signature.
The Italian editorial say his agent is trying to negotiate a potential deal with both Arsenal and Chelsea, while Cagliari’s Serie A rivals Napoli are also keen.
Nandez, a holding midfielder, only joined Cagliari from Boca Juniors last summer.
The 24-year-old has quickly established himself as one of the club’s best players, making 31 league starts this term and posting two goals and three assists.
Nandez is energetic, strong in the tackle and comfortable in possession.
West Ham may be looking for a long-term Mark Noble replacement while question marks remain over the future of England international Declan Rice in east London.
Arsenal, on the other hand, must look at strengthening their midfield this summer.
Matteo Guendouzi has fallen out of favour, Lucas Torreira may leave after featuring sporadically while Dani Ceballos will return to Real Madrid after his loan spell.
The Gunners have a big summer ahead of them in the transfer market. Nandez represents a potential option, and Cagliari may not be in the strongest position to refuse offers.
