West Brom’s record signing Nacer Chadli has been linked with a move to Swansea for most of the transfer window.

Nacer Chadli has been linked with a move away from West Brom for most of the transfer window after a difficult summer with boss Tony Pulis. And, according to the BBC, the Belgian international wants to move to Swansea – although a deal between the two clubs has not been agreed yet.

Swansea who are long term admirers of the 28-year-old wanted to sign him back in 2013 according to the report, before he eventually made the move to Tottenham. Tony Pulis admitted earlier in the window (as reported by the BBC) that Swansea are interested in signing the winger, but went on to add, “But it doesn’t hide away from the fact that both parties have to lean and lead to one point where both are happy and it’s not happened yet”.

Nacer Chadli started the 2016-17 season excellently for West Brom but fell away as the season wore on. Although the former Tottenham man ended with very respectable numbers – five goals and five assists in the Premier League, he is yet to play in the league this season. Oliver Burke’s signing probably hints that Tony Pulis will allow the forward to leave if the right offer came for him.

For Swansea, it will indeed be a shrewd signing as they look to replace the goals and assists Gylfi Sigurdsson provided in the league last term.
