Newcastle United are keen to snap up Amiens defender Emil Krafth.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Newcastle United are planning a move for Amiens defender Emil Krafth – but a mystery Premier League club is also in the race.
The Magpies are in the market for another right back to compete with DeAndre Yedlin, as new boss Steve Bruce seemingly isn’t too keen on Javi Manquillo.
They’ve now identified Krafth as a potential signing, just weeks after his loan move to Amiens from Bologna became permanent for €2.5million (£2.25million).
Newcastle scouted Krafth when Amiens took on Hull City last Wednesday, and whilst they’re planning a move, they haven’t made a bid just yet.
That’s a problem as L’Equipe now claim a rival Premier League club wants Krafth too, as do teams in Russia and Turkey, with Amiens seeking around €5million (£4.5million).
The 24-year-old is solid and dependable defensively with a turn of pace, as well as having a long throw in his arsenal, whilst he also has international experience with Sweden.

It’s unclear just who wants Krafth, but Brighton and Hove Albion would make some sense, as they need a right back after Bruno’s exit, and new boss Graham Potter knows the Swedish game having managed Ostersunds.
Newcastle need to get moving quickly if they want Krafth, with rival interest mounting, and whilst they’re planning a move, they seemingly risk missing out if they’re not careful.
