Newcastle United have been linked with Kenny Lala this year.

According to L’Equipe, Strasbourg want €15million (£13million) for right back Kenny Lala as unnamed English clubs reportedly consider moves for him.
Lala, 27, had been featuring for Lens in the second tier before making the move to Strasbourg in 2017, where he has become an unlikely star.
The right back has been one of the top performers in Ligue 1 this season, racking up nine assists from defence – only three players have more this term.
Unsurprisingly, Lala’s performances have sparked interest, and L’Equipe report that whilst Strasbourg are hoping to keep Lala, they’ll also sell for around £13million.
It’s noted that Lazio and Wolfsburg have registered an interest, though the latter may be out of the race having signed Kevin Mbabu, whilst mystery English clubs are also plotting moves.
One of those teams could be Newcastle United, as France Football reported in January that Newcastle wanted to lure Lala to St James’ Park, with the Magpies the only English team heavily linked at this point.

The price may fit into Rafael Benitez’s budget, but his age may be of concern to Mike Ashley, who wants to focus more on young players.
Yet with DeAndre Yedlin struggling a little this season, Lala could be the ideal player to come in and give greater stability, whilst also fitting as a right wing back if Benitez stays and keeps his 3-4-2-1 system.
