According to the Daily Star, West Ham United boss David Moyes watched Chelsea take on Norwich City in the FA Cup on Wednesday evening – potentially to watch Michy Batshuayi in action.
After drawing 0-0 with the Championship side in their FA Cup tie earlier this month, Chelsea hosted Norwich in their Third Round replay on Wednesday night, in what proved to be a dramatic game.
Michy Batshuayi turned home Kenedy’s cross to open the scoring for Chelsea, before youngster Jamal Lewis bagged a 94th minute equaliser for Norwich to send the game into extra time.

Spaniards Pedro and Alvaro Morata were then sent off for Chelsea in the dying embers of injury time, with the game heading to penalties – and Willy Caballero sent Chelsea through, saving Nelson Oliveira’s spot kick to hand the Blues a 5-3 penalty shoot-out win.
Antonio Conte won’t have been pleased with such an action-packed night, and it seems that another Premier League manager watched the game, with the Daily Star reporting that West Ham United boss David Moyes was at Stamford Bridge for the match.
West Ham aren’t playing Chelsea or Norwich any time soon, suggesting that the reason for Moyes’ visit may well have been to scout a potential signing, with striker Batshuayi the most obvious target.

It’s claimed that West Ham want £20million from Chelsea for striker Andy Carroll, but would also be keen to take Batshuayi on loan for the rest of the season in exchange, with Moyes possibly taking a closer look at him on Wednesday night.
The Belgian may have impressed having scored the opening goal, and having been frustrated with his lack of playing time this season, the striker may even feel that a loan move to West Ham could help kickstart his career again.
