According to TEAMtalk, David Moyes is very keen on signing Adam Armstrong if West Ham’s move for Youssef En-Nesyri fails.
The Athletic revealed yesterday that the Hammers bid £22.5 million plus £4.5 million in add-ons for the Morocco international.
That offer was rejected, but talks are continuing between Sevilla and the Hammers.
However, if the Irons can’t land their man, then TEAMtalk seem to think Moyes will target Armstrong.
On the basis of the ex-Newcastle striker’s form so far this term, that wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world.
Armstrong has netted an impressive 17 goals in all competitions this season, including 16 in 23 Championship appearances.

What type of player is he?
Well, the Blackburn Rovers hitman is a diminutive, pacey forward who was once likened to Sergio Aguero by ex-West Ham maestro Joe Cole.
Sky Sports quote Cole as saying: ‘Armstrong reminds me of Aguero in a way, he’s of the build and he’s hungry for goals.
‘In a lovely way he’s selfish for goals and has the ingredients to be a top player and go on to score many more goals.’

He would be a fine alternative to En-Nesyri, and West Ham should take encouragement from their previous forays into the Championship.
The Hammers have enjoyed success when dipping into England’s second tier for new players on multiple occasions.
The likes of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio, Craig Dawson and Said Benrahma all came from the Championship, and are all important players under Moyes right now.
