Report: Moyes thinks West Ham can sign ‘brilliant’ star, after his asking price falls

David Moyes still believes that West Ham United could sign Joshua King from Bournemouth, the Daily Mail report.

West Ham are now closing in on a deal to take Said Benrahma from Brentford, with Moyes eager to strengthen his attack.

And it seems that the Scottish boss is keen to make more additions, even after Benrahma’s impending arrival.

Moyes also wants King, and West Ham are said to be ‘hopeful’ that a deal can be pushed through in the next 48 hours.

King’s asking price was set at £18 million (Football London), but has now fallen by £2 million, according to the Mail’s latest update.

That may just encourage West Ham to raise their bid, after seeing a £13 million offer rejected last week.

If West Ham were to add King, who was once described as ‘brilliant’ by Jermain Defoe (Tribal Football), and Benrahma to their front-line in the coming days, then they would seriously improve the quality of their attack.

King would offer West Ham speed and Premier League experience, while Benrahma would give them skill and creativity.

With the likes of Michail Antonio, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen already at the club, West Ham would have some serious competition for places at the top end of the pitch.

And Moyes’s transfer plan looks a very exciting one, if West Ham can pull it off.
