Celtic look to face a real challenge holding onto star striker Moussa Dembele…and the striker’s agent was present to watch suitors Chelsea and Brighton.

Reports that Celtic had agreed to sell Moussa Dembele to Brighton for £18 million proved to be a little premature.
But with The Hoops’ prized asset seemingly eyeing a move away from Parkhead, The Gambling Times stating that he believes a move to the Premier League will boost his chances of making it into France’s World Cup squad, expect speculation to intensify in the coming weeks.
And Dembele’s agent has not done much to play down reports of his client’s impending departure by attending Brighton’s Boxing Day clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Daily Record points out that Mamadi Fofana was present as goals from Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso condemned Chris Hughton’s Seagulls to a 2-0 defeat on Tuesday.
Brighton are understood to be very keen on signing Dembele, who scored 32 goals in his treble-winning debut season for Celtic, though it is not clear whether or not Fofana was at Stamford Bridge to discuss the striker’s future or simply soak in some quality Premier League football at the home of the champions.
Interestingly, the Daily Record adds that Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the former Fulham striker. And with Michy Batshuayi not exactly in favour with Blues’ boss Antonio Conte, it would be no surprise if Chelsea attempted to bring another striker to West London in the New Year.

For now, however, Dembele’s future remains uncertain. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers understandably admitted that he’d love for the Frenchman to stay but suggested he would not stand in his way if a giant of the Premier League came calling.
