Report: Mousa Dembele has no plans for Spurs contract talks

Mousa Dembele is reportedly on his way out of Tottenham Hotspur next summer when his contract expires.

Mousa Dembele has no plans to discuss a new contract with Tottenham and is expected to leave the club next summer, according to a report from The Sun.

Dembele’s future with Spurs has been a major talking point for a while now. The Belgian had established himself as one of the most impressive midfielders in the Premier League in recent years.

Losing him at the end of his current deal – which expires at the end of this season – appeared set to be a massive blow for Tottenham for a long time, but it now seems almost inevitable that Dembele will leave.

The Sun reports that Dembele will not hold any talks with Spurs over a new contract and is now looking set to head to either the Chinese Super League or the Middle East once his deal with Tottenham expires.

As mentioned, it previously appeared that it was going to be incredibly difficult for Mauricio Pochettino’s men to cope without Dembele. While he has had fitness issues for much of his spell with Spurs, he has been a fantastic servant.

But his form at the start of this campaign has been a lot more underwhelming, and will probably leave Tottenham feeling that they may be making the right decision not breaking the bank to try and keep him.
