Jose Mourinho is said to be a massive fan of Dele Alli and does not expect him to leave Tottenham Hotspur, Football London report.

Alli’s future has been heavily speculated about in the last 24 hours, with the Telegraph claiming that he was even potentially going to be used in a swap deal for Gareth Bale.

Alli made a miserable start to the season for Tottenham, as he was hooked off at half-time in their defeat to Everton.

Mourinho came out and publicly criticised Alli after the match, sparking rumours that he could depart.

But Football London insist that the England international is part of Mourinho’s plans.

Indeed, the Portuguese boss has no plans to cash in on Alli and apparently still believes that he could get plenty of game time for Tottenham this season.

If Alli does stick with Spurs he faces a real fight for his position.

Giovani Lo Celso is now back fit, and the Argentine will surely be ahead of him in the selection order.

With Gareth Bale also set to return, Tottenham’s attacking options look very strong, and Alli will need to improve his performances if he is to keep his place in Mourinho’s starting team.
