According to L’Equipe, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has yet to convince his club chairman Daniel Levy to make a move for Thomas Meunier in the summer transfer window.

The French publication has reported that Mourinho wants to bring Meunier to Tottenham on a free transfer this summer.

The 28-year-old right-back is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain this summer and is available on a free transfer.

L’Equipe has claimed that although Mourinho wants to sign Meunier for Spurs, he has yet to convince Levy to make an offer.

Football in England is suspended at the moment, while Ligue 1 in France has been called off due to the global health crisis, and it remains to be seen when the summer transfer window opens.

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

Meunier is a good right-back who has extensive experience in Europe, and signing the 28-year-old on a free transfer would not be a bad move at all for Tottenham.

True, Serge Aurier is a decent right-back, but Tottenham could do with more competition for that particular position next season and beyond.
