According to The Sun, Manchester United are looking for an experienced goalkeeper this summer – and two of the names on their wish list are West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster and Celtic’s Craig Gordon.

The Red Devils are in the market for reinforcements this summer, and whilst fans may be hoping for another left back, central midfielder and winger, Jose Mourinho is also considering a goalkeeper.

David De Gea is one of the best in the world, but Dean Henderson and Sam Johnstone look set to pursue first-team football elsewhere, and Sergio Romero may do similar after three years as a backup at Old Trafford.

Now, The Sun report that Mourinho wants an experienced goalkeeper to replace Romero this summer, and one of the names on the list is Manchester City’s Joe Hart.

Hart’s career is in tatters after a disappointing loan spell with West Ham United and his exclusion from England’s World Cup squad, but it remains to be seen whether City would sell even an unwanted player like Hart to their bitter rivals.

That means United have alternatives in mind too, and West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster and Celtic’s Craig Gordon are also thought to be on Mourinho’s wish list this summer.

Foster, 35, joined United way back in 2005 but left five years later with just 23 appearances to his name, but could seek an Old Trafford return having suffered relegation with West Bromwich Albion this season.

Meanwhile, Scotland international Gordon is another United target, and whilst Celtic have snapped up Scott Bain from Dundee, they may well fight to keep hold of 35-year-old Gordon given that he is contracted to the Bhoys until 2020.
