Jose Mourinho is looking to bring Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Manchester United.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan on board before pre-season training starts on July 7th.
The Red Devils kicked off the Mourinho era by signing defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal earlier this month, but attacking reinforcements will now be wanted.

The Daily Mail report that United are keen to land Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but are fearing a failed move for the player.
The Armenian international, 27, was a 2013 signing for Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk, and whilst he hit 17 goals in his first two seasons with the Bundesliga giants, it was last season where Mkhitaryan made himself a household name.

With 18 goals and 20 assists in all competitions, Mkhitaryan enjoyed a stunning season under Thomas Tuchel, forming one of the most devastating attacking trios in Europe alongside Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It’s now claimed that Mourinho is very keen on bringing Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford, and wants to see him signed by the time United start pre-season training on July 7th.

The problem for United is that a deal looks unlikely right now. Dortmund have already lost two key players this summer in Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan, who have joined Bayern Munich and Manchester City respectively, and are adamant that they won’t lose another.
United are subsequently fearing that a deal won’t be done, but with Mkhitaryan’s contract expiring next summer, they will be hoping that eventually, Dortmund take the money now rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in a year’s time.
