Manchester United are reportedly keen on Chelsea’s Willian.
Chelsea midfielder Willian applauds fans
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have submitted an enquiry about Chelsea midfielder Willian – but would require ‘an extraordinary offer’ to seal a deal.
The Red Devils bounced back from their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City by beating Bournemouth 1-0 on Wednesday night, but they still remain some way back in the title race.
With United now lying 11 points behind City, manager Jose Mourinho may be keen to add new faces in January in order to boost his squad – and he seemingly wants to reunite with one of his former players.

The Daily Mail report that United have made contact with Chelsea over a possible deal to sign Brazilian midfielder Willian, with Mourinho keen to work with him again.
However, it’s claimed that Chelsea are reluctant to do a deal, and would demand an ‘extraordinary fee’ to sanction a move, having seemingly learnt their lesson from letting Nemanja Matic join United over the summer.
Mourinho helped bring Willian to Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala in the summer of 2013, making him an integral part of his Blues side due to his ability on the ball and his defensive work rate.
Chelsea’s Willian
Willian hasn’t been quite so important under Antonio Conte, and whilst he scored and picked up two assists in the 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night, the Brazil international has started just eight Premier League games this season.
Whilst Willian is understood to be a little frustrated with his lack of playing time, Chelsea look unlikely to sell to a direct rival in January, with United’s enquiry ultimately falling short.
