According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli will be left out of the squad to face Chelsea this evening.
It’s claimed that Jose Mourinho surprisingly doesn’t plan to include him in the matchday squad, not even on the bench for tonight’s Carabao Cup game.
Tottenham’s squad is stretched at the moment due to their frankly absurd schedule of games in such a short space of time, and this should have been an ideal chance to give Alli some playing time.
Yet despite Son Heung-min’s hamstring injury depriving Mourinho of an attacking threat, Alli still won’t get a game in a decision that may stun some fans.
The 24-year-old was left out of the squad against Newcastle United on Sunday, despite starting against FK Shkendija in the Europa League last week.

Mourinho’s decision will only ramp up the rumours that Alli could be on the move, with Paris Saint-Germain interested in signing him.
Alli has stagnated at Tottenham, and may now need to move on in order to get back to his best, especially if Mourinho won’t even give him playing time.
