Everton are reportedly interested in Manchester United winger Memphis Depay.
According to The Telegraph, Manchester United are open to loaning Memphis Depay out in January in a bid to increase his worth – but it remains to be seen whether they let him join Everton.
Depay, 22, was one of Europe’s most in-demand players in 2015, as he smashed a stunning 28 goals in just 40 games for PSV Eindhoven during the 2014/15 season.

Manchester United won the race for his signature, and he was projected to become a star under fellow Dutchman Louis van Gaal, but with just two goals in 29 Premier League games, his first season was a struggle.
Now Van Gaal has gone, Depay has been trying to impress new boss Jose Mourinho, but he has started just one game in all competitions this term, and that came against League Two side Northampton Town in the EFL Cup.

Depay’s career is stagnating at Old Trafford, and The Telegraph report that United and Mourinho are both happy to let Depay leave on loan during the upcoming January transfer window.
It’s claimed that United want to let the Dutch winger leave on loan to not only boost his confidence, but potentially boost his value as United look to recoup much of the £25m they spent on Depay just over a year ago.

The report adds that Ronald Koeman, who is a big fan of Depay from his time in the Netherlands, wants to bring the winger to Goodison Park – but it remains to be seen whether United would allow him to join the Toffees.
United and Everton are locked on 18 points in the Premier League table and both harbour hopes of a top six finish, meaning that the Red Devils may not want to strengthen a rival, and with questions over a move despite Koeman’s interest, Depay could end up elsewhere, with Roma believed to be interested too.
