Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has opted against a move for Almeria forward Darwin Nunez, the Daily Mail claim.
Tottenham are looking for a back-up striker to Harry Kane, and Nunez’s name has popped up in discussions.
The young forward blasted in 16 goals in the Spanish second division last term, and at the age of 21 is considered to have a hugely bright future.
Mourinho was presented with the option of signing Nunez recently, but apparently feels that he isn’t the right man for Spurs.
That still doesn’t mean that Nunez will not move to the Premier League this summer, as Brighton are also keen, according to Football London.
But it seems that Tottenham won’t be investing the £25 million (Football London) required to sign the forward.

Mourinho has seemingly been determined to play it relatively safe with Tottenham’s incoming additions this summer, with every player he has signed having plenty of Premier League experience so far.
And it is, therefore, not particularly surprising that the option to sign an unproven 21-year-old, from the Spanish second division, did not appeal to the Portuguese boss.
