According to The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has now held a meeting with Dele Alli to thrash out his future.
Alli allegedly spoke to Mourinho in a personal meeting on Tuesday night, primarily to check on his well-being after a frustrating season.
Their relationship is described as ‘amicable’, despite the fact that Alli hasn’t started a single Premier League game since the opening day of the season.
Alli was ‘deeply unhappy’ that Tottenham refused to let him leave for Paris Saint-Germain in the January window, as he wanted to reunite with Mauricio Pochettino.
With the uncertainty over for now, Alli could now be handed another chance by Mourinho, though not in Thursday’s clash with London rivals Chelsea.
Instead, Alli will be given time off and then return to training ahead of the weekend clash with West Bromwich Albion, where he could make a rare league appearance.

Mourinho wants to see Alli develop, and with his side struggling going forward at the moment, this could be the ideal chance to reintegrate the 24-year-old.
If Alli doesn’t make an impact now, then a summer move will surely happen; this could be Alli’s last chance saloon, with last night’s talks seen as a major positive.
