According to Football.London, Jose Mourinho and Tottenham Hotspur coaches have been impressed with Tanguy Ndombele’s application.
It’s claimed that Mourinho and co are ‘delighted’ with how Ndombele has applied himself in recent months, in order to get his Spurs career kickstarted.
The report adds that Ndombele looked ‘lean, sharp and bright’ in a Tottenham training game that took place on Saturday afternoon.
Ndombele even scored in the training game, turning away from Juan Foyth before firing past compatriot Hugo Lloris.
This is hugely encouraging news for Spurs fans. Ndombele became the club’s record signing last summer, arriving from Lyon with a huge reputation.
However, his first season in England was patchy. The Frenchman struggled for form and fitness in large spells of the campaign, leaving fans underwhelmed.

Mourinho has publicly called for Ndombele to improve, and despite rumours about a possible exit, it seems that the midfielder is working hard to prove himself.
If Tottenham can get a fit and firing Ndombele when the Premier League returns, that will not only boost their Champions League hopes but also set him up for a big second season at Spurs.
