According to a report from the Daily Record, Moses Odubajo has joined up with Celtic’s squad for their pre-season tour to Austria, perhaps hinting that the 24-year-old could possibly be in line for a move to Parkhead this summer.

The Record reports that Odubajo is now a free agent after leaving Hull City at the end of the season. The right-back endured a miserable time during the latter stages of his spell at the KCOM Stadium.

His most recent competitive appearance came in the 2016 Championship play-off final due to a knee injury that has ruled him out ever since. But it appears that Celtic may be considering offering him a fresh challenge this summer.

The Record reports that Odubajo has linked up with the Celtic squad in Austria. And while the report does not explain whether he is on trial with the club, in line for a deal or has just simply been brought in to build his fitness up, it is mentioned that he was seen alongside the Bhoys’ recruitment chief Lee Congerton.

While it is entirely possible that a potential move could be under consideration, it may not be a huge surprise if Brendan Rodgers is keeping his cards close to his chest at this stage. As talented as Odubajo is, Rodgers may simply be interested in getting a short-term option in given that both Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa are away with their countries at the World Cup.

But with the former England under-20 international boasting plenty of potential and right-back clearly an area of concern for Celtic, perhaps it would not be the greatest shock if both sides had some interest in a potential deal.
