But Sky Sports report that Leicester have once again rejected Sunderland’s advances for the Argentine, and that Moyes will now focus on other transfer targets, rather than going back in with another offer for the 30-year-old hitman.
The Wearside outfit are currently marooned at the bottom of the Premier League table, and their tally of 20 goals in 22 league outings is the joint second lowest in the entire division.

With their over-reliance on Jermain Defoe, and the injury suffered by Victor Anichebe, the signing of another striker will surely be a necessity, if they are to avoid relegation to the Championship.

But after Sky Sports’ latest report, it looks like Moyes will have to shift his focus away from the King Power Stadium.
The problem is that there are not too many strikers out there with genuine quality, who are readily available, at this late stage n the transfer window.
