Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on Montpellier playmaker Ryad Boudebouz.
According to Algerian newspaper Le Buteur, Tottenham Hotspur are in the race to sign Montpellier playmaker Ryad Boudebouz.
Boudebouz, 26, was long regarded as one of France’s top talents during his time with Sochaux, and after a two-year spell with Bastia, he earned a move to Montpellier in 2015.
With two goals and 11 assists last season, Boudebouz impressed for Montpellier but needed to add more goals to his game – and the Algeria international has certainly done that so far this term.

Boudebouz scored in Montpellier’s 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain last weekend, taking his tally for the season to seven goals in just 15 Ligue 1 appearances, whilst he’s also added two assists as well.
Now, it seems that Boudebouz’s exploits with Montpellier are attracting interest, as Algerian newspaper Le Buteur reported earlier this week that Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United all want to sign the playmaker.
Now, Le Buteur report that Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race for Boudebouz, but face more competition from Sevilla and AC Milan as teams line up moves to sign him either in January or next summer.
Spurs may be looking for January reinforcements after crashing out of the Champions League in the group stage, as well as suffering some struggles in attack this term, but Boudebouz may not be what they’re looking for.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have plenty of talented technically-gifted midfielders such as Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Heung-min Son and Erik Lamela, but they’ve often lacked speed to get in behind defences.
With Georges-Kevin Nkoudou one for the future, Pochettino may want more attacking midfield options, but Boudebouz is another player who brings technical proficiency rather than speed – and as talented as the Algerian is, it would be something of a surprise to see him arrive at White Hart Lane.
