Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk reportedly wants Leeds target Ryan Kent.
According to TEAMtalk, Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk has joined the race to sign Liverpool winger Ryan Kent amid interest from Leeds United.
Boro have splashed the cash on a host of new signings this summer, with the likes of Darren Randolph, Cyrus Christie, Jonny Howson, Martin Braithwaite, Ashley Fletcher and Britt Assombalonga all arriving at the Riverside Stadium.

Monk’s men are now the hot favourites to win the Championship title and earn an immediate return to the Premier League, but the new Boro boss isn’t finished bringing in new signings just yet.
Despite also having Adama Traore in his ranks, Monk is understood to want another winger, and TEAMtalk report that he is launching a late move to take Liverpool talent Ryan Kent on loan for the season.
It’s claimed that Leeds United are among the clubs to have lodged an enquiry about signing Kent on loan, but having grown frustrated with his attempts to take Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo on loan, Monk is switching his targets to pursue Kent.
The 20-year-old winger has been on the books at Anfield since 2003 having joined the Reds at the age of just seven, but has so far made just one first-team appearance for the club.

After a loan spell with Coventry City, Kent spent last season on loan at Barnsley, where he notched three goals and one assist, and another loan spell is on the cards for Kent this summer.
Middlesbrough boss Monk will hope to beat former club Leeds to the deal with his late move, though with Birmingham City, Derby County and Hull City also keen, this is a fierce battle for Kent’s signature.
