Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim is the latest manager said to be interesting Everton.
According to the Mirror, the Portuguese coach is ‘admired’ by the Toffees, who sacked Ronald Koeman after 16 months on Monday.
However, the newspaper acknowledges that Jardim would be a ‘difficult target’, having excelled in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League since moving to the principality.
The 43-year-old led Monaco to their first top flight title in 17 years in May, and his side currently trail leaders Paris Saint-Germain by four points at the top of the table.
Everton have since appointed David Unsworth as caretaker manager, and could delay their appointment if their former defender can turn things around for the 18th-placed side.
That could be Everton’s best chance of landing a big name such as Jardim, who is unlikely to leave Monaco at this present time.
According to the Mirror, Thomas Tuchel, the former Borussia Dortmund manager, is Everton’s first choice target to succeed Koeman on a permanent basis.
