Monaco reportedly lead the chase for the Tottenham Hotspur star.

According to a report from French publication Le 10 Sport, Monaco are leading the race to sign Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele, with the 31-year-old entering the last six months of his contract with the north London outfit.
The Belgium international joined Spurs from Fulham in the summer of 2012, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £15 million, and he has gone on to establish himself as one of the club’s most important players, making 250 appearances in all competitions in the process.
Dembele is currently out injured, however, and has not played since November 3rd.
It is looking ever more likely that he will leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, and according to French media outlet Le 10 Sport, Thierry Henry’s Monaco are leading the race to obtain the 31-year-old’s signature.

Considering his importance to the team, though, Tottenham will surely at least try to convince him to stay in north London.
It could be argued that Dembele is past his best, however, and he seems to be picking up injuries much more frequently over the past 12 months.
And Monaco might just be the ideal place for him to flourish, what with the slower pace of Ligue 1.
