CalcioMercato claim Arsenal are not the only club that want to sign Juventus midfielder Arthur this summer – with Monaco targeting the Brazilian to France as they look to replace Cesc Fabregas.
Fabregas, now 35, has spent the last three years at Monaco and is now set to leave the Ligue 1 outfit on a free. Monaco need another midfielder to come in and replace the Arsenal icon, and Arthur has been identified.

Arthur, who cost Juventus a whopping £75million, is still expected to leave Juventus this summer. The Brazil midfielder was strongly linked with a move to the Gunners in January, but a move did not come around.
The Gunners remain interested in Arthur – who was once branded “sensational” by Antonio Cassano. But they now face competition from Monaco, as the French outfit look to replace the loss of Gunners legend Fabregas.

It all depends on the price. Juventus overpaid to sign Arthur in 2020 and they will be fully aware that they will have to take a loss. He is an excellent midfielder on his day, but like many others, has struggled at Juventus.
Just look at Aaron Ramsey. Juventus do have a knack of turning excellent midfielders into has-beens. But at 25, he is still young enough to turn it around. Juventus may have to loan him out first, in order to increase his value.
The report says Juventus will entertain a swap deal or a long-term loan. So, a possible two-year loan would suit Arsenal or Monaco, and Juve. It saves either club from spending big this summer, but a possible larger sale in the future.
