Tottenham Hotspur are one of a number of clubs reportedly chasing Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.

Tottenham have arguably suffered a major blow in their reported pursuit of Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe with The Sun reporting that the Ligue 1 side have told another interested party that they want £112 million for the forward.
The Mirror reported in February that Arsenal and Spurs were two of the clubs interested in signing the 18-year-old, while The Sun have suggested that Real Madrid are also chasing his signature.
And The Sun is now adding that Los Blancos have been told that they would need to pay the staggering nine-figure fee to land the Frenchman this summer as he is happy to stay put next season if no move materialises.
The news of the eye-watering asking price will undoubtedly be a major blow to Tottenham, as it is difficult to imagine that they would ask for anything different from another team.

And even if Tottenham had the resources to make a deal happen, it would still be a major gamble to pursue a move with Mbappe only really fully emerging into the limelight this season, with 12 goals and five assists coming in 22 top flight games, with another two goals coming in the Champions League.
The teenager undoubtedly appears to be a star of the future, but requesting such an astronomical figure will unquestionably take the majority of the interested teams, surely including Tottenham, out of the running for his signature.
