According to Tuttomercatoweb, Monaco are rivalling newly promoted Fulham and Leeds United for Benifca midfielder Florentino Luis having submitted an offer.
The Portugal U21 international has been heavily linked with a summer move.
A recent report from Record claim Leeds and Fulham want him, with the latter launching a loan offer with the option to buy him in the region of £25 million.
But now it looks like the Premier League duo could miss out.
According to Italian editorial TMW, Monaco have trumped Fulham’s bid with their own loan proposal with a future buyout clause of up to £29 million.
Luis has made plenty of headlines in his native Portugal following some terrific displays.

Former Benfica coach Joao Tralhao has compared the holding midfielder with Brazil international Casemiro, telling Bernabeu Digital how Real Madrid should sign him.
“Florentino is a young player who has exceptional talent. From very early on, we realized that Florentino was on the road to becoming an elite player. I see Florentino as a logical option (for Real Madrid). He has a profile very similar to that of Casemiro and in Europe he is, without a doubt, one of the best in his position,” Tralhao explained.
Fulham will be looking to strengthen their midfield as the Cottagers look to establish themselves in the Premier League following their promotion via the playoffs.
Scott Parker’s side made a mess of their 2018-19 campaign in the top-flight.
But this time around, it seems Fulham have been more diligent in the transfer market as they seek top young talent such as Luis who would have a high re-sale price.
If the latest reports are true, however, both Fulham and Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds could struggle to win the race for his signature as Niko Kovac looks to rebuild Monaco.
