According to a report from Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma winger Mohamed Salah will depart for London on Tuesday, with a medical for his move to Liverpool coming on Wednesday.
The Reds are in the market for attacking reinforcements, as whilst they do have Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, manager Jurgen Klopp will still need more firepower.

Another winger has been Klopp’s priority so far this summer, and reports in Italy suggest that he is finally about to secure the signature of a player he has pursued since the end of the season.

It’s claimed that Salah will fly to London on Tuesday ahead of travelling up to Merseyside, with a medical set to be completed on Wednesday as the Egyptian closes in on a return to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old had a short and ultimately unsuccessful spell with Chelsea having joined the Blues from Basel in January 2014, but he has proven his worth in Italy with Fiorentina and now Roma.

Last season, Salah – predominantly a right-sided winger who can cut in on his left foot – racked up a stunning 19 goals in all competitions, as well as notching 12 assists.
Salah’s pace, energy and end product make him a smart addition for the Liverpool side, but one of the problems Klopp faced last season – Sadio Mane’s departure to the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal – may only be exacerbated by Salah’s arrival, given that he would also be in action for Egypt when the competition comes around again, but he should make a huge impact at Anfield.
