According to Forza Roma, Arsenal would need some convincing from agent Mino Raiola to launch a deal for Roma winger Justin Kluivert.

It’s claimed that Roma would value Kluivert at between €25million to €30million (£22million to £26.5million). Roma would seemingly be willing to let him go.

Arsenal are noted as being an interested party given Kluivert’s age. However, Raiola would allegedly have to convince them to invest.

Kluivert could yet join Arsenal in a deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan, bringing the price down. In a straight cash deal, Raiola may have his work cut out.

The global pandemic means Arsenal’s budget has been hit. They may not be in a position to splash north of £20million on a winger, especially with issues elsewhere.

The only way Kluivert will end up at Arsenal is surely in a move involving Mkhitaryan. The Armenian has spent the season on loan at Roma, and could go permanently.

He appears to have little future at Arsenal. Swapping him for a younger winger would certainly make sense, even if the Gunners do have to cough up some cash to sweeten the deal.

21-year-old Kluivert hasn’t quite lived up to expectations at Roma, and may not represent a huge upgrade on the likes of Reiss Nelson or Gabriel Martinelli – so it’s no surprise to hear Raiola needs to try and lure Arsenal into a deal.
