So far, Liverpool have been an absolute shambles this season, languishing in 9th place in the Premier League, whilst being a staggering 15 points behind league leaders Arsenal already.

After being inches away from winning an unprecedented quadruple in the previous campaign, the expectation amongst the Anfield faithful was that their side would be keen on righting their wrongs this term, with becoming Premier League champions as one of their primary objectives.

Fast forward to the present and said goal seems borderline comical at this point.

As the Qatar World Cup fast approaches, Liverpool will have their sights set on preparing for a strong second half of the ongoing season.

However, things are not set to get any easier for Jurgen Klopp’s side, as several key players such as Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Darwin Nunez to name a few will be starters at the showpiece event.

With several other big names at Liverpool set to make the cut for football’s grandest stage as well, a new update has emerged about the club’s plans during the tournament.

As per a report by Liverpool Echo, the Merseyside-based side plan to give the players that will not be at the World Cup a few weeks’ rest, before conducting a mini pre-season, which will partly be held in Dubai during the middle of December.

Further details suggest that Dubai has been chosen as the location, as the players whose nations will be eliminated from the tournament will only have to make a short trip from Qatar to join their fellow teammates.

It has also been mentioned that Liverpool will play friendlies against Lyon and AC Milan.

Ultimately, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that the plans in place work wonders on his players and the team as a whole, as things need to get better before they get worse for his side.
