Millwall have been linked with former Blackburn Rovers winger Connor Mahoney.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Bournemouth have agreed to sell Connor Mahoney to Millwall in a deal which could net Blackburn Rovers at least £100,000 due to a sell-on clause.
The report claims Blackburn inserted a 20% sell-on clause into the deal when they lost Mahoney to Bournemouth in a move which went to a tribunal fee of £425,000 back in 2017.
It hasn’t been mentioned in the report how much Millwall will pay for the winger, but as a result of market increases and Mahoney’s recent successful loan spell its likely to succeed the £500,000 mark.
Mahoney, 22, didn’t make a single Premier League appearance for Bournemouth during his spell at the Vitality Stadium. He spent most of his time out on loan, first at Barnsley and then Birmingham City.
The winger made 30 Championship appearances for the Blues last term, scoring twice and grabbing four assists.
Millwall are desperately short on numbers having seen first-team players such as David Martin and Lee Gregory depart the club this summer, with the latter joining league rivals Stoke City.

Lions boss Neil Harris a tough transfer window ahead as he looks to strengthen his team, and Mahoney looks to be a smart purchase with the former England U20 international boasting plenty of potential.
Blackburn, meanwhile, have yet to make any big moves in the summer transfer market. The Lancashire Telegraph claim a new development goalkeeper is on the agenda, and a six-figure cash windfall could aid Rovers in their search.
